Supervision

Please note I do not have availability for new supervisees

How can I help you?

Are you wanting to feel more confident with your Compassion Focused Therapy skills?

Are you needing a space to discuss client cases, upskill in a particular area, discuss ethical considerations, or explore the impact your work has on your life?

Are you looking for a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your practice, and think about what being a psychologist or helping professional means to you?

Or perhaps you’re unsure if a continued career in a helping profession is for you, and you’ve got some ideas for a different way to do business and you’d benefit from some coaching instead?

Whatever it is you are seeking, I would love to see if we are a good fit for working together

If you’re a registered psychologist, social worker, psychotherapist, counsellor or other helping professional I can offer you clinical supervison on a regular or ad hoc basis, depending on whether you want ongoing supervision or need to address something short-term and specific. I also offer group supervision for private practices so why not take some of the load of yourself and let me remotely join your team for supervision.

Supervision is usually a one-hour appointment and is offered online. I also offer supervision groups at different times during the year.

If you are interested in hearing about any future supervision groups, please use the button below to sign up to my waiting list

I work using a compassionate and collaborative approach and am trained in a number of different frameworks including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and others. Apart from my own extensive learning in CFT, I provide training in CFT to health professionals in Australia and overseas. I am the past President of Compassionate Mind Australia.

I have many years of experience supervising other registered practitioners and I am accredited via STAP (Supervisor Training and Accreditation Program) as a Board-approved supervisor in Australia.

I have been trained by leading experts in the field of psychology, including (CFT) Prof Paul Gilbert, Dr Dennis Tirch, Dr Russell Kolts, Dr Chris Irons, Dr Mary Welford, Dr Deborah Lee; (ACT) Prof Kelly Wilson, Dr Robyn Walser, Dr Matthieu Villatte, Dr Russ Harris; (EFT) Dr Leslie Greenberg, Dr Sue Johnson, Dr Veronica Kallos-Lilly; and (DBT) Dr Marsha Linehan.

My main areas of clinical practice have been with adults dealing with trauma and trauma-related concerns, anxiety, and grief and loss. I also have personal and professional experience in managing chronic illness.

One of my passion areas is therapist self-care and well-being, and how we can engage in sustainable practice. I came to this the hard way; my own health and well-being was suffering, and I was still needing to engage in client work and life. I had to learn how to navigate all the things whilst listening to my wisdom and making helpful rather than harmful choices.
